The Washington Nationals and Philadelphia Phillies put out a collective statement announcing their decision to postpone tonight’s game to “call attention to racial and social injustice.”

The teams stated they will “continue to stand behind our players and those on the front lines working to generate accountability and real change in society.”

Similarly, Wednesay night, the Washington Mystics and Atlanta Dream canceled their game as professional basketball players across the country protested the shooting of Jacob Blake.
